How to reset apple watch

There are a couple of ways to reset your Apple Watch, depending on what you want to achieve:

1. Unpairing and Erasing (Recommended if you're giving away or selling your watch):
This method removes the Apple Watch from your iCloud account, erases all content and settings, and removes Activation Lock. This prevents someone else from using it without

your Apple ID.
On your iPhone:
Open the Apple Watch app.
Tap the My Watch tab.
Tap All Watches at the top.
Tap the "i" (information) icon next to the watch you want to unpair.
Tap Unpair Apple Watch.
If you have a cellular model, you'll be asked if you want to keep or remove your cellular plan. Choose accordingly.
Confirm by tapping Unpair [Your Watch Name].
Enter your Apple ID password to disable Activation Lock.
Tap Unpair.
2. Erasing Content and Settings Directly on the Apple Watch (If you're keeping it and just want a fresh start):
This method erases all content and settings on your Apple Watch but keeps it paired with your iPhone.
On your Apple Watch:
Press the Digital Crown to see your apps.
Tap the Settings app (gear icon).
Go to General > Reset.
Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
If prompted, enter your passcode.
If you have a cellular model, choose to Keep Plan or Remove Plan.
Tap Erase All to confirm.
What to do if you've forgotten your passcode:
If you can't access the Settings app on your Apple Watch because you've forgotten your passcode, you'll need to reset it. You can do this by following the unpairing process through the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
Important Considerations:
Backup: If you are resetting your watch for troubleshooting and plan to continue using it, your Apple Watch data is automatically backed up to your iPhone when they are near each other.

Cellular Plan: If you have a cellular Apple Watch and choose to remove the plan during unpairing, you might need to contact your carrier to cancel the subscription.
Activation Lock: This feature helps protect your Apple Watch if it's lost or stolen. Unpairing via the Apple Watch app on your iPhone is the only way to remove Activation Lock. Erasing directly on the watch will not remove it.
Choose the method that best suits your needs!
